It’s a triple bill blues concert at the Community Centre! The opening act is Walt Wallace followed by Maple Blues winner and Juno nominee David Gogo. Wrapping up the bill is world renowned blues legend John Mayall.
Tickets are $100 each. Only 200 tickets are available – they will go fast.

Yoga – for women and men at all levels, from first timers and beyond. Yoga is great for balance, stretching, breathing and strength. It is also one of the best ways to learn healthy relaxation techniques.

Friday, 9 to 10:30 am at the Community Centre. Yoga – for women and men at all levels, from first timers and beyond – is now close to home in Constance Bay. Even better, you can try a class for free. The yoga instructor, Don Caldwell, is among the best in the region.

Mexican Date Night

Following up on a very sucessful Italian Date night, another Saturday night with your significant other, a glass of wine and the convival atmosphere at the Community Centre on May 26, 2012 at 6:30 pm.
What could better be? A Mexican dinner of delicious, gourmet specialities, perhaps.
Date Night is going to be a regular monthly event for CBBCA members. Because the food is so good, Tickets must be purchase at least 5 days before the event. No tickets will be sold at the door. That allows the chef to plan and create a truly feast for only $15 per person.

Tickets are now available for the first gourmet Supper Club meal at the Community Centre. Because the food is so good (and Italian), tickets must be purchased five days in advance. MUSIC REGISTRATION, now open

The CBBCA is offering music lessons for children, youths and teens. This is an introductory or recreational program and is an opportunity to see what talent and interest there is, and from there, to see if further tuition is desired. A program of group guitar lessons is being run at 11am on Sundays at the centre. Keyboard and drum classes are also available.

Fees vary by program. MYC lessons for ages 3 to 8 is $18; guitar, HeathRHYTHMS, vocal/choral lessons are $10; and group drumming lessons (drum circle) are $5.

Join the C’Bay? Ball Hockey league for age groups are 6-9 and 10-14. Games will be played against Dunrobin and Kinburn with possible expansion to Fitzroy and Carp. Season runs from early April to late May (6 weeks). The registration fee will be $25. Please contact Shawna at or call 613-832-4694.

Once again Jennifer Corlick will offer the Happy Feet program for seniors. This is a FREE, in home foot care service. She offers a warm oil rub, nail trim, callus reduction, alcohol cleaning and soft lotion rub. Each treatment lasts about 40 minutes. This gentle, free foot care will make your feet feel good and improve your quality of movement.

Look Deer! We’ve gone high tech! Everyone who drives in rural Ottawa has seen deer by the side of the roads. An unlucky few have even hit them. Now thanks to Michael Hill, the Manotick Neighbourhood Watch Co-ordinator and website developer, you are now able to see where these deer collisions have occurred in rural west Ottawa for 2011 and 2012. Here are a few tips to get you going: The blue dot with a number inside represents the total number of collisions that have occurred in the general area where it is positioned. And take advantage of the filter options at the top of the page to screen out data and search for trends
