Register at the Community Centre on Wed., March 7, from 7 to 9 pm or Sat., and on March 24, from 10 am to noon.
We are optimistic T-Ball can return to the Bay this year, we will also try and form an Atom team ( 6-8 year olds). If we cannot form teams you will be offered your choice of a full refund or a spot in another community.
For children 9-16 we can accept registrations for placement on a team in another community. The T-Ball season runs from early May to Wednesday July 4th and should not conflict with the soccer schedule. We will have a final schedule coming up soon for the softball.
T-Ball for 4-6 year olds is $40, Softball for 6-16 is $60; plus CBBCA membership if you don’t already have one.

To Register print the Online Registration form and bring in person to the Community Centre.

New Music Programs for All

By: Ben Diaz  On: Sat 03 of Mar., 2012 08:57 EST  (2302 Reads)
Information sessions at the Community Centre on March 7 and March 11 at 6 pm.
The CBBCA is getting close to offering music lessons for children, youths and teens. We see this as an introductory or recreational program offered for families who may not think of or be able to afford music lessons. It is an opportunity for them to see what talent and interest there is, and from there, to see if further tuition is needed.
The proposed program click here to see poster with six 60-minute sessions covering keyboards (the Music for Young Children program taught by Matt Dufresne), drums and guitar. Both group and individual lessons might be arranged.
First we need to gauge the level of interest. Then we can refine the program, schedules, costs and get a feeling for likely attendance. Tell you neighbours and encourage them to attend the information sessions. Classes can start later this month.

Interactive Deer Collision Map

By: Ben Diaz  On: Sat 03 of Mar., 2012 09:01 EST  (2059 Reads)
Look Deer! We’ve gone high tech! Everyone who drives in rural Ottawa has seen deer by the side of the roads. An unlucky few have even hit them. Now thanks to Michael Hill, the Manotick Neighbourhood Watch Co-ordinator and website developer, you are now able to see where these deer collisions have occurred in rural west Ottawa for 2011 and 2012. To see what it’s all about, follow this link – www.manotickneighbourhoodwatch.com/deer(external link) – or enter it into your browser’s address bar.
Here are a few tips to get you going: The blue dot with a number inside represents the total number of collisions that have occurred in the general area where it is positioned. The red deer indicates a single vehicle-deer collision. Click on the blue dot or the deer for more information. Zoom in or out for different perspectives. And take advantage of the filter options at the top of the page to screen out data and search for trends
