Community Survey for the Village of Constance Bay

By: Ben Diaz  On: Fri 20 of Jan., 2012 11:28 EST  (105 Reads)
The CBBCA is seeking input from all residents of our community regarding facilities, services and other infrastructure in and around Constance Bay. The purpose of this survey is to identify and prioritize the initiatives to be pursued with the City of Ottawa and other organizations. The survey results shall also be consolidated and summarized to provide data to the City of Ottawa for inclusion in the next release of the official Community Plan for the Village of Constance Bay. All individual responses will be confidential.

Your response to this survey is the most important aspect of defining the current needs and desires of our community. This is your community and we need your support to get it right!

Need-a/Share-a-Ride

By: Ben Diaz  On: Thu 01 of Dec., 2011 11:29 EST  (697 Reads)
The CBBCA would like to create a Need-a/Share-a-Ride program for those in the village who do not drive or have no transport and those who may have time and resources to provide transport. Every day residents of the Bay drive to Kanata or Bayshore or Arnprior for shopping or medical appointments, etc. Meantime, there are folks in the Bay who, for a number of reasons, do not have their own transport out of the Bay.

The CBBCA is looking to find a way to bring these two groups together. This would be a volunteer, no cost service, and the parties involved would have to work out the details of when and where the transport is needed

The first stage in this is to gauge the level of interest in a Need-a/Share-a-Ride and the likely number of participants. So we would like your feedback on this, and you can do that by Clicking Here to fill out the form or contacting Ian Glen at or 832-1225.

Changes coming to CBBCA

By-laws & Constitution

The CBBCA Constitution and By-laws are in need of an update. Some of these changes were proposed at the 2010 annual general meeting, and they did not pass. Members wanted an adequate opportunity to examine the changes and understand them. This is your opportunity.

The proposed changes, wordings and the reasons for them are posted on the CBBCA website. Click here to study them. Urge your friends and neighbours to read them. If you or someone you know wants a printed copy of the changes, please call Len Russell at 832-4694.

A new vote to approve them will be held at the 2011 annual general meeting in January.
