CBBCA Celebrates a Successful AGM and Welcomes Its 2026 Board
The Constance & Buckham’s Bay Community Association held its Annual General Meeting on June 29, bringing community members together to reflect on the past year, review the Association’s finances and governance, discuss plans for the year ahead, and elect the 2026 Board of Directors.
A special thank you to West Carleton Online for attending our AGM, speaking with members of our community, and helping document the evening through its coverage and photography. We appreciate their continued commitment to sharing local stories and keeping West Carleton residents informed.
During the AGM, members heard about the many programs, services and improvements supported by the CBBCA over the past year. Highlights included continued growth in fitness memberships and class participation, 947 Community Centre calendar bookings, expanded rentals and community partnerships, successful sports and recreation programs, improvements to membership and volunteer management, the launch of the Youth Canteen Pilot Program, and another full year of special events. Members also reviewed the Association’s financial position, considered a comprehensive rewrite of the CBBCA by-laws, and heard about upcoming priorities such as facility improvements, new youth and community programming, improved booking and technology systems, and expanded sponsorship and advertising opportunities.
Thank You to Our Board of Directors
And a HUGE THANK YOU to every member of our new Board of Directors for stepping forward to volunteer their time, skills and leadership for our community. Some are continuing their service, while others are joining the Board for the first time. We are grateful to each of them for accepting this responsibility and helping guide the CBBCA through its next chapter.
