  • Secretary

Shannon Keeling has lived in the Bay for over 20 years and has enjoyed being a part of the Constance & Buckham’s Bay Community Association board in a number of different roles.

As a Director-At-Large when her children were young, Shannon helped with fundraising for the current addition through door-to-door canvassing and organizing the handprints near the play structure.

As a community member, Shannon has coached youth softball and youth soccer, played adult ball and pickleball and organized volleyball for a summer or two. She has also been spotted participating in Sparks Tae Kwon Do classes, bringing her children to numerous summer library events, at Book Club meetings and at many Rural Root Theatre Company productions. As you can see, Shannon’s interests are varied and when she retires from work in the next decade, you can bet that she will be joining more daytime classes and groups!

Over the past few years, Shannon rejoined the board with renewed vigor and has taken on the role of Secretary. Being part of the Executive Team has opened her eyes to the depth and breadth of operations and inner workings of our community association. Working with the Constance & Buckham’s Bay Community Association has given Shannon the opportunity to meet so many committed and dynamic people. Some of her favourite summer evenings are spent playing pickleball with her husband and marvelling at the number of adults and children enjoying the outdoor spaces at our community centre in the summer.

Jenny Stathis moved to the Bay in July 2020 and quickly fell in love with the community. Since then, she has become actively involved by joining the local baseball league, attending community events, and building strong connections with residents throughout the area. In 2022, she and her husband launched Bay-Yo, a frozen yogurt boat, as a passion project that was warmly embraced by the community.

The overwhelming support they received inspired her to give back through volunteer leadership. She joined the Board of Directors at the Constance and Buckham’s Bay Community Association (CBBCA) as Director of Safety and has now served on the board for three years. Safety has long been a personal and professional passion of hers. She has worked in Occupational Health and Safety with the Federal Government for nearly a decade and is currently in the early stages of launching her own safety consulting firm.

Jenny looks forward to continuing to work alongside the Board of Directors to help make the community stronger, safer, and even more connected.
